Dr. Burak Ersen was born in Mersin, a Mediterranean city in Turkey. He completed his medical education in Istanbul, graduating as the second in his class. During his studies, he participated in educational programs in Groningen, the Netherlands, and Cambridge, UK, which enriched his international medical perspective.
Dr. Ersen began his residency in Plastic, Reconstructive, and Aesthetic Surgery at Uludağ University in Bursa, where he gained extensive experience in reconstructive surgery, microsurgery, hand surgery, aesthetic surgery, and burn care. He also spent time in Uppsala, Sweden, for microsurgery training at Akademikkliniken. He completed his residency in 2015 and became certified by the Turkish Board of Plastic, Reconstructive, and Aesthetic Surgery after passing the board examination. The following year, he earned European Board Certification in the same specialty.
Throughout his career, Dr. Ersen has published over 50 scientific papers in national and international journals and presented more than 20 times at global plastic and aesthetic surgery meetings. With a focus on body reshaping surgeries for the past 10 years, he continues to specialize in this field. Dr. Ersen currently operates his private clinic in Ataşehir, Istanbul, and holds memberships in the Turkish Board of Plastic, Reconstructive, and Aesthetic Surgery, the Turkish Aesthetic Surgery Board, the European Board of Plastic, Reconstructive, and Aesthetic Surgery, the International Society of Aesthetic Surgery, and the Istanbul Medical Chamber. He is fluent in English and Swedish.
